Did having breakfast everyday change my fitness and gym routine!
I have been a no breakfast person for as long as I can remember.
Ever since I stepped into college, I broke up with breakfast. Not because I didn’t like it, but because it didn’t fit into my routine.
The morning routine during my college life consisted of only 3 things - wake up, morning business, run to the class.
After graduating from college, I started freelancing for clients from different time zones. So waking up in the morning to get breakfast always took the last priority.
As I started getting into fitness and learnt more about nutrition and diet, I came across multiple articles and studies which proved that breakfast is actually not the most important meal of the day, as it has always been deemed to be.
This made my habit of not eating breakfast even stronger.
Not having breakfast also gave me the leverage of having much bigger meals later in the day, which I have always loved.
But recently, I decided to make a change and start breaking my meals into smaller portion. I didn’t do it with a specific goal, I did it to see how it feels.
And it has been awakening.
Ever since I have started having breakfast, my mornings have felt better.
The biggest change I have noticed is that I no more need a hefty amount of coffee/tea in the morning.
I feel better during the workout even if I am working out later in the day.
There is a noticeable difference in energy level, my caffeine consumption has reduced and my gut seems to be doing great as well.
Whether breakfast has an impact on metabolism or weight loss or whether it is the most important meal of the day or not is a different topic, but it definitely makes me feel better.
Don’t ditch an idea unless you have tried it yourself :)
