7 fruits smoothies that make a complete breakfast

If you are on the hunt for a healthy breakfast smoothie, try to look for the  one that’s low in sugar and high in protein, fiber, and healthy fats so that you can stay with a happy fuller stomach.

We have compiled a few recipes to get you started. Once you get the hang of it, you can start experimenting on your own.


  • Mango and Banana Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 1 cup mango, peeled and chopped, 1 whole banana, ½ cup almond milk/soy milk and 1 cup ice

    Preparation: In a blender, add mango, banana and almond milk and blend until it turns into a smooth paste. For enhanced taste, add crushed ice or whipped cream on top. 


  • Watermelon Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 2 cups watermelon cubes, 1/3rd cup yoghurt, 2 teaspoons chopped mint, 2 teaspoons honey, 1 cup ice

    Preparation: Blend all the ingredients, except honey and mint. Add the honey and mint and blend another 10-20 seconds until mostly smooth and the consistency of that of a slush. 


  • Strawberry Oats Smoothie
  • Ingredients: ½ cup strawberry halves, 1 banana sliced, 1/4th cup oats, 5-6 almonds chopped, 1 cup yoghurt, 1 cup honey

    Preparation: Blend all the ingredients together, till they become smooth. You may use a frozen or room temperature banana. 


  • Spinach Orange Green Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 1 orange peeled and deseeded, 1 cup spinach roughly chopped, 1/4th cup coconut water, ½ cup banana pieces, 1 cup ice

    Preparation: Blend all the ingredients together. To avoid using ice, cut up the banana and freeze it the night before. This healthy smoothie with citrus flavors can give you a boost of energy without adding too many calories.


  • Banana Orange Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 1 ripe Bananas, peeled and chopped, 1 cup orange juice, 1 cup yoghurt, 1/4th teaspoon vanilla essence, A pinch of salt, A dash of cardamom powder, 1 cup ice

    Preparation: Blend all these ingredients together. This sweet and tangy Banana Orange smoothie is an explosion of flavors and keeps you refreshed all day!


  • Banana and Honey Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 2 ripe Bananas, peeled and chopped, 1 cup milk, 2 teaspoons honey, 2 teaspoons oats, 1 teaspoon chocolate powder, 1 cup ice

    Preparation: Blend all the ingredients, until they turn into a smooth paste. The goodness of banana, sweetness of honey, crunchiness of oats and voila! You have a super yummy and fulfilling smoothie to start off your day.


  • Grape Smoothie
  • Ingredients: 1 cup black grapes, seedless, 1 cup milk, ½ cup yoghurt, 1/4th teaspoon vanilla essence, 1 cup ice

    Preparation: Blend all the ingredients, till they become smooth. Serves one person. Alternately, you can also add green grapes to the ingredients to add a tang.
